Certification & compliance

Global compliance for Model C2.

Designed, tested, and documented for CE, UKCA, and U.S. regulatory requirements, so you can deploy Model C2 with confidence across regions, industries, and regulatory environments.

Our approach

An engineering discipline, not a checkbox.

Regulatory frameworks differ by region. Our approach doesn’t: every Model C2 is built and documented the same way.

  • Safety-first design

Formal risk assessment and hazard mitigation from the start.

  • Objective testing

Structured test plans for safety, performance, environment, and software.

  • Full traceability

Every requirement mapped to the evidence that it’s met.

  • Clear documentation

Technical files, reports, and declarations, available on request.

Ex-ante conformity

Europe & United Kingdom

  • Centralized regulatory framework
  • Mandatory conformity assessment before market entry
  • CE and UKCA marking based on documented compliance

Standards & workplace based

United States

  • No single government-issued certification
  • Compliance through federal regulations, consensus standards, and workplace safety requirements
  • Acceptance driven by customers, insurers, and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs)

Model C2 is engineered to satisfy both models at the same time.

European Union & United Kingdom

CE & UKCA certified.

Model C2 has achieved CE and UKCA certification, enabling commercial deployment across the European Union and the United Kingdom.

Certification followed a six-month, end-to-end conformity assessment program, conducted with independent engineering consultancies and third-party testing organizations. Model C2 is CE and UKCA marked in accordance with applicable regulations.

What the assessment covered

  1. Formal risk assessment and hazard mitigation
  2. Functional safety validation for autonomous mobile robots
  3. Electrical, EMC, radio, and battery safety testing
  4. Software and failsafe behavior validation
  5. Compliance and traceability matrices
  6. Objective evidence and technical documentation

Regulatory framework

Model C2 conforms to these primary EU and UK regulatory instruments.

United States

Built to meet U.S. requirements.

There’s no CE-style certification in the United States. Compliance comes from federal regulations, industry consensus standards, and workplace safety compatibility, and Model C2 is designed to meet them.

FCC: electromagnetic compatibility & radio

Model C2 complies with FCC Part 15, which is mandatory for selling and operating electronic and wireless devices in the United States.

FCC Part 15, Subpart B
Unintentional radiators
FCC Part 15, Subpart C / E
Intentional radiators (Wi-Fi / Bluetooth)

Battery transport

UN 38.3 compliance for lithium-ion battery transport, in alignment with DOT, IATA, and IMDG requirements for shipping by road, air, and sea.

UN 38.3
Lithium-ion battery transport
DOT, IATA, IMDG
Transport requirements (alignment)

Autonomous mobile robot safety

Designed and validated in alignment with key U.S. consensus standards for safe operation in shared human environments: emergency stop behavior, speed and proximity control, obstacle detection, stability, and clear user warnings.

ANSI/RIA R15.08
Safety requirements for autonomous mobile robots
ANSI B56.5
Driverless industrial vehicles
ANSI Z535
Safety signs, labels, and instructions

Electrical & industrial safety

The electrical design aligns with commonly expected U.S. standards. Third-party evaluation by an OSHA-recognized Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) may be provided where customers or facilities require it.

UL 62368-1
Product electrical safety (design alignment)
NFPA 79
Electrical standard for industrial machinery

OSHA workplace compatibility

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration doesn’t certify products; it regulates employers’ responsibility for workplace safety. In a workplace review or investigation, OSHA refers to conformity with consensus standards.

Model C2 supports OSHA compliance by

  • Aligning with recognized ANSI, RIA, and NFPA standards
  • Supporting employer risk assessments and job safety analyses
  • Behaving predictably and deterministically, as shared workspaces require

A physical emergency stop button and a stack light are available as options on every model except C2 Mini. See add-ons

Software, cybersecurity & data protection

Secure and private by design.

Security and privacy are core principles in every region where Model C2 operates.

Cybersecurity practices are aligned with

  • ETSI EN 303 645 (EU baseline)
  • NIST Cybersecurity Framework principles (U.S.)
  • No personal data

No collection or storage of personally identifiable information (PII).

  • Vision for navigation only

Vision systems are used solely for localization, and no images are retained.

  • No audio or media storage

Model C2 doesn’t record audio or store media.

  • Secure access

    Access control and authenticated interfaces.

Validation & traceability

Evidence for every requirement.

Predictable, verifiable behavior matters most in regulated and safety-conscious industries. Across all regions, Model C2 compliance is supported by:

  • Structured test plans covering safety, performance, environment, and software
  • Formal risk assessments and hazard analyses
  • Compliance and traceability matrices mapping requirements to evidence
  • Objective evidence, including logs, measurements, photos, and reports

One platform, ready for global deployment.
